FORMER Greenock GP Anne Pettigrew is set to launch her latest book in the town later this week.

She will be talking about her latest book Medicine Money and Murder in conversation with local music teacher and opera singer Polly Beck at the Beacon.

Anne will talk about her fourth novel with new publisher Sparsile Books in a question and answer format.

She has drawn from her own background in medicine to write thrillers based in the world of hospitals and GP surgeries.

Now the author is taking on the USA in her latest book, having previously studied there as a teenager.

On the night Grace McKelvie will also be reading extracts from the book.

Author Anne Pettigrew is welcoming people along to her local launch in Lindsay Wood room, Beacon on Friday November 8 at 7pm.
