INVERCLYDE Athletics Club has been awarded a £7,500 cash boost from Inverclyde Council.
The award-winning club received the money from the local authority's Community Grants Fund.
It is one of 100 groups who have benefited from a £250,000 windfall from council bosses.
The club will use the funds towards stadium costs for training, development camps and competitions.
The club was founded in 1996 and has its clubhouse in Old Inverkip Road.
It received the Queen's Award for voluntary service in 2002.
The Lord Lieutenant of Renfrewshire made the award to Inverclyde AC on behalf of the Queen at a Civic Reception held by Inverclyde Council.
