AN Inverclyde youth theatre group celebrated its 30th anniversary with the fang-tastic musical Dracula, set in one of Greenock's oldest churches.
The former Old West Kirk on the Esplanade set the scene for Kayos as they turned the pews and the pulpits in to a vampire's vault.
The audience entered the lair at their own risk as they found themselves spooked out and entertained by the young cast.
Director Kevin Jannetts was overwhelmed by the response to the latest Kayos performance, and thanked all those who made it happen.
He is now appealing for help from the community to keep Kayos on stage.
He said: "It was absolutely amazing. The Old West Kirk was a brilliant atmospheric venue.
"We were able to use all the space, and the audience had a brilliant time. I think it was even scary going to the toilet!
"Dracula the Musical is not a show that is performed very often so it was great.
"We can't thank the owners Marco and Tanya for believing us, and now they can see the potential the Old West Kirk has.
"But we couldn't do any of this without the team around us. It takes massive efforts back stage."
Kevin, who has been involved with the theatre company from a young age, thanked all those who made it happen, including West College Scotland for support with make up.
Dracula the Musical was put on stage thanks to the funding from the Windfarm Trust and the Culture Collective.
Now, though, he is appealing again for more committee members to help run Kayos.
Kevin added: "We really need people who can help us on the committee. We also need people to join Kayos with all kinds of talents.
"There are so many different aspects people can get involved in, from the technical side, make up and costumes."
The youth theatre, for young people aged between 15 and 25, offers a unique opportunity to all.
The cast for the four shows included Ava McCallum, Anna McNeil, Rory Munro, Nate Gemmell, Ava McCallum Holly Maxwell and Mya McNelis.
Now Kayos are getting ready for the National Youth Theatre Connections Festival, taking place at the Beacon in April.
Youth theatre groups from all over the UK will come to Greenock to take part along with Kayos to perform original scripts written by ten different playwrights.
There are ten in total, and Kayos will be performing one called Brain Play, with puppetry and songs.
Kevin said: "It is a fantastic opportunity for the young people to perform a play.
"It is also great that the National Youth Theatre comes here to the Beacon."
