YOUNG skating stars are set to bring a spectacular performance to the ice in Greenock next month.
The Waterfront Ice Skating Club’s cast of 140 skaters will present Arabian Nights on December 7 and 8.
The show will combine ‘breathtaking choreography’ with the ‘beloved story of adventure, friendship and love’.
Skaters will transform into iconic characters such as Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie as they dazzle with both their costumes and skills on the ice.
Coach Kayleigh Munro said: “This year’s unforgettable show has been in the works since mid-September.
“The entire cast of 140 skaters has been working hard attending weekly rehearsals to pull together the show.
“Our dedicated principal skaters have also attended off-ice rehearsals to perfect their 'dialogue' scenes.”
The club is now entering its final few weeks of rehearsals before the production takes place at the Waterfront ice rink.
With just under 900 tickets sold so far, it is hoped the show will be a sell out.
A relaxed showing for ASN families will also be held at 11.30am on December 7, with reduced lighting and music volume.
