Children and families will be transported back in time to enjoy a Victorian Christmas celebration at a Greenock museum this month.

There will be heart-warming festive songs from the Salvation Army Band to get everyone in the Christmas spirit at the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Museum and Heritage Trust in Dalrymple Street.

Children will get the chance to meet Santa Claus in one of the museum's vintage fire engines and receive a gift, while families can tuck into warming hot chocolate and biscuits at the cosy celebration.

The event runs from noon until 4pm on Sunday, November 24, and all are welcome.

The celebration will run on the museum's second-last 'open Sunday' of the year.

You can find out more about the museum and the Trust at sfbheritagetrust.org.

Copies of the Trust's 2025 calendar are also available via its website, with all proceeds from calendar sales going back into the running of the museum.
