PATIENTS can continue to share stories of their experiences with health and social care services after Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership continued its collaboration with Care Opinion.
Care Opinion is an independent, not-for-profit organisation with a website where people can share their honest feedback about health and social care services including things like the staff and buildings.
Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has used Care Opinion since 2022 and recently renewed its partnership.
It recently received its 50th review on the site from someone who thanked Inverclyde’s community diabetes team for their support after their recent diagnosis.
Councillor Robert Moran, chair of the Inverclyde Integrated Joint Board (IJB), which oversees the work of the HSCP, said: “Care Opinion is a way for people to give honest feedback, both good and bad, about their experience.
“The vast majority of feedback received by Inverclyde HSCP has been positive and it’s great to read.
“Anyone can go on and read the stories for themselves and see the feedback from staff.
“Care is at the heart of what HSCP staff do and this helps to make sure they are getting that right.”
Care Opinion is open to everyone who uses health and social care services as well as relatives, carers and friends.
Comments are anonymous and health and social care staff are encouraged to respond to messages, both positive and negative.
Laura Moore, Inverclyde HSCP's chief nurse, said: “Care Opinion has been an important tool for staff to receive positive feedback and to make changes when we’re told something isn’t right.
“I see staff morale go up whenever a positive story comes in on Care Opinion and I’d encourage more patients and service users to take a look for themselves and see if there’s something they want to say.”
