A main entrance to the Oak Mall Shopping Centre has been temporarily closed to the public.
The Wallace Place entrance was closed off at 8am on Thursday for essential maintenance work.
It's estimated that the work will take around two days to complete.
In a post on social media an Inverclyde Council spokesperson said: "As part of the Greenock Town Centre redevelopment project (Levelling Up), the Wallace Place entrance to the Oak Mall Shopping Centre is temporarily closed to allow for the removal of a canopy.
"Please use alternative entrances."
