TWO Greenock men have appeared in court accused of hurling a suitcase at a man during a serious assault at an upmarket hotel.
Dylan Hill, 25, and Conner Frankgate, 27, allegedly attacked the man at the Hilton in Glasgow city centre on January 14 last year.
It is claimed the pair grabbed the alleged victim by the body, pinned him to the ground and repeatedly punched him before throwing a suitcase at him.
Prosecutors claim the man was knocked unconscious.
The charge states he was assaulted to his severe injury as well as to his permanent disfigurement and impairment following the incident at the William Street hotel.
Hill faces a separate allegation of breaching a bail curfew at the time.
The pair pleaded not guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday and the case was continued to a trial set down for January.
