BOSSES of charity Children in Poverty Inverclyde are delighted with a vital donation from a local club.
The No 68 Port Glasgow Club has stepped in to hand over £400 from a recent bingo night in aid of the charity's Christmas Appeal.
It comes as founder Pat Burke is once again overwhelmed by the local response.
He said: "This is a magnificent donation from our friends at the No.68 club Port Glasgow.
"It will make a huge difference to the families in Inverclyde.
"It’s a quite remarkable amount and hugely welcomed and highly valued by us."
It comes as Children in Poverty Inverclyde's deadline of November 22 for toys approaches.
