INTREPID fund-raisers in Inverclyde are being urged to sign up to take part in a charity 'fire walk' in Greenock this month.
Inverclyde Women's Aid is looking for brave backers who think they can handle the heat to sign up for the event at the Tenants' Hall in Aberfoyle Road.
The event is taking place during the annual 16 Days of Activism campaign raising awareness of the problem of gender-based violence locally and around the world.
Fire walk participants will gather at the venue on Saturday, November 29 at 6pm to take part in what the charity promises will be "an unforgettable experience".
A spokesperson for Inverclyde Women's Aid said: "407 women and children have taken the toughest steps towards us to get support in the past year. We are doing this in recognition of their bravery.

"Come and join us and help raise money that will go towards supporting those experiencing gender based violence."
The event is being held with the guidance and support of Firewalk Scotland, and is being sponsored by Inverclyde's own Danny Knox Foundation.
It costs just £20 to register to take part in the event. To find out more information check out facebook.com/inverclydewomensaid or call the charity on 01475 781689.
