PLANS for a new vehicle maintenance workshop at a business premises in Greenock have been given the green light.
Dunns Holdings Ltd had asked Inverclyde Council for permission for the new building at their premises on Cartsburn Street.
Documents published on Inverclyde Council’s website describe the site’s current use as a ‘garage yard’, and say that discussions have been held with officials from the local authority on the outline feasibility of the proposals and on the access point of remaining disused land at the site.

The plans also include vehicular barriers on either side of the proposed new workshop.
The application was received by the council’s planning department on October 4 and was validated three days later.
And an update on the local authority's website states that planning permission has now been granted, subject to conditions, though as this article was published no report on the handling of the case had been uploaded to the site.
The planning application and associated documents can be viewed on Inverclyde Council’s planning website at planning.inverclyde.gov.uk by searching for the reference code 24/0217/IC.
