AN Inverclyde company scooped a top honour at a prestigious business awards ceremony.

McLaren Packaging, which supplies paper-based packaging across the spirits industry, took the Innovation in Packaging title at the Spirits Business Awards 2024.

Judges said the Port Glasgow company won the award for its paper-based presentation tubes product which they described as 'game-changing'.

The vertical perforation on the packaging tubes allows the paper body and metal base to be easily separated and recycled.
