PASSERS by have had the first look at Greenock Town Hall's new roof as part of a £2 million refurbishment.
The protective canopy and scaffolding has started to be taken down as the work nears completion.
It is the beginning of the end of the major work on the historic A-listed building.
This has also included the replacement of the windows as part of the project to preserve and improve the 19th century town hall.
The Town Hall dates back to 1858 and the Municipal Buildings were constructed around the venue as the population grew significantly.
The council has invested heavily in recent years to refurbish the internal areas of the Town Hall and Saloon and now work is required to bring the external areas up to standard.
