A MAN is to stand trial after he denied subjecting a Greenock shopworker to violent threats and aggression.

William Bonnar, 39, is charged with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards a man at Aldi on Patrick Street on June 12.

He is accused of shouting and swearing at him, as well as uttering threats of violence.
