A NUMBER of road closures will be in place in Inverclyde over the next week as Christmas lights are switched on across the area.
Festive events will are to be held in Greenock, Gourock and Port Glasgow in the coming days.
In Greenock, the entirety of Cathcart Square and William Street will be closed from 12pm until 8pm on Thursday.
Traffic will be diverted via Watt Place, Terrace Road, Regent Street and Bank Street.

In Gourock, a section of Kempock Place, between Shore Street and Kempock Street, will close between 5pm and 7pm on Friday.
Bath Street will also close from its junction with Kempock Place to Adelaide Street.
Closures will be in place in Port Glasgow on Wednesday, November 27, with Fore Street being off limits between the town’s library and the link junction at the A8 Greenock Road.
The road will close at 5pm and is expected to reopen from 7pm.
