A POPULAR local uniformed organisation has secured a cash boost of more than £6,000 from Inverclyde Council.
The Inverclyde & District battalion of The Boys' Brigade applied to the council's Community Grants Fund and was awarded £6,125 subject to conditions.
The money will be used to support the battalion's annual running costs and hall hire.
The Community Grants Fund allows the council to provide financial support to a variety of local community, sport, music, arts, and voluntary groups.
The Boys' Brigade was one of 100 groups across Inverclyde to secure a cash boost in the most recent round of funding.
