With Christmas fast approaching, schools across Greenock and Inverclyde are gearing up for the festive school holidays.
Over late December and early January, schools operated by the local authority are closed to give students and teachers a break before the start of the new semester.

When will schools in Inverclyde break up for the Christmas holidays?
Schools across Inverclyde will close at 2:30pm on Friday, December 20, 2024. The holiday period will officially run from Monday, December 23, 2024 until Friday, January 3, 2025.
Students will return to class on Monday, January 6, 2025. This will be the beginning of the second school term.
