TOP Inverclyde band The Laurettes are bringing their first ever headline tour to their home town.

They are playing two gigs in the Gamble Hall in Gourock this Saturday along with friend and fellow musician RuMac, who is signed to the same Wee Studio label.

Singers Lynette Beaton and Lauren O'Donoghue have a jam-packed interactive St Andrew’s day Family Fun show at 2pm including kicking off the event with a mini disco.

This is followed by their full-on evening gig for over 14s only at 8pm.

Both acts have been showcased on STV’s ‘What’s on Scotland’ with The Laurettes ‘Bringing in the Bells’ at Hogmanay.

The Laurettes are known for getting the party started wherever they go and their Indie Folk Fusion sounds have had some of the largest crowds the folk festival circuit has seen.

RuMac is a first class showman, playing as a one man band on his legendary ‘Bloody Box’.

Both acts have toured the country playing festivals accompanying some of the biggest names in Scottish Music on tour such as Peat and Diesel, Skerryvore, Trail West and many more.

Between them they’ve taken on The Barrowlands, the Main Stage at Belladrum and Sony Hall for New York Tartan week.

They have teamed up with Inverclyde Showcase Events run by Inverclyde Leisure.
