FORMER SNP politician Mhairi Black is set to bring her hit Edinburgh Fringe show and perform on stage in Greenock next year.

The SNP's ex-deputy Westminster leader will take her hit show ‘Politics Isn’t For Me’ on a Scottish tour next spring, offering audiences around the country a sneak peek at what life is really like within the four walls of parliament.

Black was thrust into the spotlight after becoming the youngest person ever elected to the House of Commons at the age of just 20.

And the show sees Mhairi embrace her dark sense of humour as she reflects on her time in Westminster and presents a first-hand, ruthlessly honest look at 21st century politics.

The ex-politician takes on everything from anxiety to archaic rules in Westminster with her trademark unfiltered honesty and West coast humour as she challenges misconceptions about politics after almost a decade in public life

Off the back of making her solo debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in August this year, Mhairi will now tour the show around Scotland, including stops Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness, Ayrshire, the Isle of Skye and Greenock at the beginning of May next year.

And Black is looking forward to sharing a bit of the humour she experienced in Edinburgh last summer in her stop off in Inverclyde next year.

The show, that'll take place on Friday, May 2 at the Beacon Arts Centre promises to be a lot of fun.

She said: “Performing this show at the Edinburgh Fringe proved to be a lot of fun, so I’m really excited to get the chance to share a bit of that fun around Scotland. Particularly for people who weren’t able to travel or get a ticket to the Fringe.”
