A CHARITY and social enterprise which runs a service in Inverclyde has picked up a top national award for its support and development of staff.
Unity Enterprise was crowned a UK Employer of the Year at the Investors In People (IIP) Awards 2024.
The organisation supports young, young adult, and adult carers through its Carers Gateway service in Inverclyde.
Unity fought off competition from national brands to pick up the coveted title at a prestigious awards ceremony in London.
Unity gained IIP silver status in March this year, and took the title of UK Employer of the Year within the silver category.
The IIP awards celebrate the best in HR and people practices, and Unity was assessed on leadership, the way in which they develop staff, and how their staff are supported.
Unity Chief Executive, Fraser Bedwell, said: "We have worked hard to create a really positive culture that empowers our people to shape the way both they and the organisation develops.
"A team that feels valued, is focused and highly motivated will deliver better outcomes for those we support and we see that every day through the impact of our work."
