A PORT Glasgow food bank who will stop people in the town going hungry this Christmas were over the moon with a donation.
Children in Poverty Inverclyde stepped in to help the Church Angels with some vital non perishables.
This comes as the food bank faces dwindling donations as a result of the increasing cost of food.
Two weeks ago food bank, which is the longest running in Inverclyde, appealed for donations in the run up to Christmas.
The group offers help to people without referrals from agencies and say three quarters of people they help are families.
At the time volunteer Margaret Wilson, said: "We hand out 36 bags of food on each day we open and the queue usually starts half an hour before, we open."
Children in Poverty Inverclyde's Pat Burke and his team stepped in to help.
