A TEENAGER is to stand trial after he denied seizing a woman by the neck and spitting in her face in an alleged attack last year.
Scott McElwee, 18, is alleged to have assaulted the complainer at several locations in Greenock on February 12, 2023.
He faces a further allegation of acting in an aggressive manner towards the woman on March 12, 2023, by following her home, repeatedly banging on the door of her property, demanding entry and uttering offensive remarks.
McElwee, of Banff Road, pleaded not guilty to both charges through defence solicitor Ellen MacDonald at Greenock Sheriff Court.
He will return to court for trial on February 25, 2025.
