SIX Scout groups have received cash from Inverclyde Council's community grants fund.
The 10th, the 32nd, the 47th/97th, the 73rd and the 85th Greenock and District Scout Groups were all handed sums from the annual council cash pot.
The Greenock and District Scout Council also received a grant of £3,750 to help cover the running costs for Everton Scout camp near Inverkip and the organisation's local headquarters.
All of the Scout groups sought cash to help cover the costs of either hiring or maintaining the venues they hold their regular meetings at.
The 10th received a grant of £1,134, while the 32nd were given £3,000.
The 47th/97th was handed £803, the 73rd received a total of £874 and the 85th got £1,142.
