IN the latest house price survey, Inverclyde tops the table as the cheapest place to buy a home.
We have topped other tables in deprivation, poverty and depopulation and now this.
These tables unfortunately show how far we have declined as a community, with little urgency from all political parties to stop our continued slide down this slippery slope.
Our MSP Stuart McMillan and council leader Stephen McCabe have been in position for 16 years and our MP Ronnie Cowan for eight.
Inchgreen has lain all but empty for over 20 years and none of them have made a significant challenge to Peel Ports' strangulation.
The council is now in a joint venture, or some would say in bed, with Peel Ports, spending £9.3m of public funds repairing damage inflicted on our national asset.
We’ve still to hear what companies, if any, have contractually signed to move onto the Inchgreen facility.
The Inverclyde Taskforce created by former Finance Minister Kate Forbes has been meeting for over a year and nothing has developed.
It seems to have turned into a secret society with the lack of information coming out.
Hopefully our campaign Scottish Parliament petition, the one three local politicians have refused to sign, gets a good hearing and we get a full parliamentary debate.
A big thank you to all who helped with our leaflet drops these last few weeks.

Secretary Inchgreen Campaign
