THIS view from the past is of the west side of Greenock’s Westburn Street at its junction with Kilblain Street.
The properties have been vacated prior to demolition which likely took place at the end of the 1960s.
Businesses that can be identified are, from right, the Ascot bar (formerly the Snug), next to which is Janet M Wright, florist and fruiterer, and then D Sinnamon, who is believed to have been a general provisions merchant.
