Last week I told how I find God helping in the little things in life, and before I move on, let me give you one other example I encountered this week.
We have a toilet seat and cover in our bathroom which over time can work itself loose from its fittings and the toilet seat and cover break free. It has happened before on a number of occasions, and I have spent time and energy getting the fittings back in place so things are secure again.
This week I had that job to do again and spent some time trying to line up everything, but without success and I gave up, saying to myself and to God, I will try again later.
That I did, some hours later, with a prayer in my heart, and this time things fitted together quickly and successfully and without fuss. I thanked God for His help.
These are minute things, but when it comes to the larger issues in life that we all face, isn’t it comforting to feel and know His help?
He is so interested in each one of us. The Bible tells us: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." And those who do, find a God who understands and makes such a positive difference in our lives.
He delivers us from trouble, turns our nights of fear and anxiety into bright days of His presence, and as we turn to Him, He is there for us, no matter who we are and what is troubling us. I suggest this is a recipe for success and for positive living.
I encourage you to find this God for yourself. Don’t go through life just thinking about it but not doing it.
Such is your importance to Him that His only Son Jesus came and died such an awful death on the cross to set you free from fear and anxiety, from giving in to wrongdoing, and to bring you such peace and comfort, whatever life flings at you.
If you haven’t already, please make yourself one of those who finds out this to be absolutely true. And for all your days to come.
