I SEE that the SNP’s MP for Inverclyde, Ronnie Cowan, is asking for drug consumption rooms to be allowed in a brazen attempt to garner more SNP votes.
Mr Cowan and his party have never shown any interest in addressing Scotland’s growing drug problem and think that decriminalising drugs will somehow make it all go away. Why people fall for this guff is baffling.
Mr Cowan & co. don’t care about drug deaths, and never ever have done so.
Blaming Westminster is their default position on everything.
Rather than face something head on, and at least attempt to drive drug deaths down, he wants to allow addicts to shoot-up in rooms paid for by you and me.
Maybe Mr Cowan can lead by example and let the addicts use his constituency rooms as their ‘go-to place’ but I would advise not letting the police know anything about it or he might find himself in a spot of bother.
Drugs are evil and making them legal won’t make them any less evil.
Mr Cowan, like many in politics these days, knows nothing about the lives ruined by drugs, and I am not talking about the users.
Family members, neighbours etc, all pay a price for the Scottish Government's non-existent drug policy in driving drugs out.
