IN Councillor Stephen McCabe’s rather nasty and personal attack on former councillor Chris McEleny, as well as telling us all how he can afford the seven per cent council tax increase Inverclyde Council want to impose on us, he took a swipe at Mr McEleny’s vote tally at the last election.
Of course, what Councillor McCabe forgot to mention is his own vote tally was zero, because he was elected by default as not enough candidates put themselves forward to represent the mainly Kilmacolm ward.
How odd that we have a council leader, that not a single person in Inverclyde voted for, taking to the press to tell us our council tax shouldn’t be frozen as he’s quite able to pay a substantial increase.
