ALLAN Moore has played down speculation linking him with the Morton post.
The Stirling Albion boss was favourite for the Ton job in September until the Forthbank club demanded £140,000 compensation.
He told the Tele last night: "At the moment, I am still contracted to Stirling Albion and have not heard anything. I am going in to see the chairman tonight and am concentrating on my team.
"I was under contract in September and the chairman wanted compensation.Morton couldn't match it and that was the end.
"So it's the same scenario as then. I have taken Stirling into the First Division and am concentrating on getting players in for next season." Moore led Albion to the Second Division title earlier this month and, although he still has a year left on his contract, he may wish to fulfil his long-held ambition to enter full-time management, Allan Maitland, the Alloa boss, has also been linked with the job, but his preference has always been to remain part-time.
Morton chairman Douglas Rae confirmed the club had three expressions of interest in the job prior to them parting company with Grady.
But they could hold off until the end of the month before making an announcement.
