MORTON midfielder Cameron Blues’ contract has been switched from a loan to a permanent deal.
Blues had originally signed for Ton on a year-long loan deal from Livingston in the summer.
The deadline day signings of Motherwell youngster Adam Livingstone and St Mirren defender Jack Baird would have meant that the club were over the limit of four players on loan at any one time.
Blues’ new contract runs until the end of the season.
The former Livi midfielder has made five appearances for the Ton since his arrival, starting against Alloa in the league and Hibernian in the Betfred Cup last 16.
Meanwhile, David Garrett will take over from Sean Crighton as Morton youth academy head.
Garrett became an academy coach at Cappielow seven years ago, having successfully set up the youth academy at Drumchapel Amateurs.
