A TALENTED young bowler from Inverclyde is currently bidding to make history as he goes for a national title live on the BBC.
Victoria Bowling Club and Inverclyde Indoor Bowling Club member Astyn McKechnie is facing off against Blair Gourley from Dundee in the final of the Scottish Young Indoor Bowling Association's Young Masters under-17 competition.
If Astyn wins he would become the youngest player to win the coveted crown.
The youngster has already claimed a number of big wins this year during the outdoor season and is now vying for a further honour at West Lothian Indoor Bowling Club after a series of impressive showings in the competition's earlier stages.
His game is being broadcast on BBC iPlayer and the World Bowls Tour Facebook page.
