Battery Park junior parkrun, event number 121, 21 January 21.

ON a cold but dry morning, 28 junior parkrunners gathered at the Battery Park, hoping to complete the course before the rain came on. And they did, only just.

There were four first timers, Jack, Freya, Louis and Cameron, and two runners, Ada and Ruairidh, achieved new PBs.

There was one volunteer milestone with Susanne Stetz chalking up her 25th event.

Louis Reid was first of the boys to finish (07:33). Elijah Taylor (08:48) was second with Rudy Byrne completing the top three (09:40).

First of the girls to finish was Anna Shearer in 09:58. She was followed by Isabel Lafferty (10:39) and Orla Barry in 11:16.
