A TOTAL of 145 people took part in the 433rd Greenock parkrun held at the weekend.
There 19 were first-timers and 25 people recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 11 different clubs took part.
There was no rain for what was the monthly pacer event.
Along with local running clubs, Greenock Glenpark Harriers and Inverclyde AC, Parkrun welcomed runners from Strathclyde University Harriers, FORK Runners (Friends of the River Kelvin), Bellahouston Road Runners, Jogscotland, UK Parkrun Tourists, Vegan Runners, Kilbarchan AAC, Transplant Sport and Falkland Trail Runners.
Of the first timers, seven were taking part in their first ever parkrun.
There were milestones for runner Susan Falconer who has completed 25 parkruns (all at Greenock) and volunteer Laurie Donaldson, who volunteered for the 25th time.
Neil Lafferty was first to finish (17:45). He was followed by Andrew White (18:23) and Brian McAlees (19:11).
First timer, Sharon O'Leary of FORK Runners, was the first of the ladies to cross into the funnel (22:12). In 23:27, Sue Hewitson was second lady, followed by Evie Harrison (24:13).
Of the 16 junior runners that took part, Dean Black and Oliver Arthur, both with new PBs of 20:11, crossed the line together to be the first juniors to finish.
Four more juniors, Harley, Tor, Cara and Daisy also gained new PBs.
