Greenock parkrun, event number 434, February 3
A TOTAL of 104 people ran, jogged or walked the Esplanade course, of whom six were first timers and nine recorded new personal bests. Representatives of five different clubs took part.
There were two milestones, Jamie Blair completing his 25th parkrun and Leanne Boyce her 50th. Both runners have run all of their parkruns at Greenock.
Regular Greenock runner Irene McIntosh was taking part in Doddie Aid during January, and on completion of her run she had beaten her target of 100 miles.
Neil Lafferty was first runner to finish (17:40). He was followed by Paul Monaghan (18:04) and Andrew White (18:17).
First of the ladies to finish was Lesley Comerford in 23:11. First timer, Jenny Tinson, was second (24:25) and she was followed by Liv Mason (25:22).
The event was made possible by 19 volunteers:
Kay Hunter, Gill Gilmour, Stuart Austin, Graham Smith, Richard McGowan, Emma Sinclair, Andrew McIntyre, Joe Percival, Michael McEldownie, Jill Aikman, Eric Lindsay, Lynsey McLaughlin, Joseph McFadden, Tracey Howe, Marjorie Morrison, Heather Glasson, Lesley Dick, Kirsten MacKay, Liz Waddell.
