Greenock parkrun, event number 440, March 16
A TOTAL of 139 people ran, jogged or walked the course, of whom 20 were first timers and 13 recorded new PBs and representatives of 14 different clubs took part.
Ten of the first timers, Findlay, Aidan, Jaydon, Fiona, Laura, Thom, Ann-Marie, Greg, Walter and Nicola, were taking part in their first parkrun.
Amy Leung, who only turned eight last week, completed her 100th parkrun. An amazing achievement.
David Holmes completed his 200th Greenock parkrun.
For the second week in a row, Kyle Johnstone was first male to finish (17:02) followed by Chris Mooney (17:21) and Paul Monaghan (17:26).
With a new PB of 21:53, Carly Walker led the ladies home. First timer at Greenock, Angie Meffan-Main of Edinburgh Running Network, was second in 22:46. Another first timer, Vicky Cole, finished two seconds behind in 22:48.
The event was made possible by 16 volunteers: Lesley Dick, Graham Smith, Sharon Black, Moira McCluckie, Stephen Harrison, Adele Marzella, Lynne Harrison, Margaret Ann Scott, Rebecca Laird, Janice Lowles, Michael McEldowney, Tracey Howe, Gerry Langan, Marjorie Morrison, Heather Glasson and Gill Gilmour.
