BIRKMYRE get back to league duty this Saturday with a home fixture against Shawlands.
The Kilmacolm side find themself in third spot in the table as they enter the business end of the season.
Due to previous fixture postponements, the club have a number of games in hand over their closest rivals and have the added benefit of a run of home fixtures.
Club captain Ross Moglia said: "Finishing top of the league is still within our control, however, we need to win all our remaining matches to do so.
"Irvine can finish on a maximum 67 points, and if we win all our matches with bonus points we would get to 71.
"That is easier said than done but with four of our six remaining matches at home, we have to be positive and confident that we can achieve the required results."
Birkmyre's remaining fixtures are: Sat 23 March, Shawlands (H); Sat 30 March, Moffat (H); Sat 6 April, Lochaber (H); Sat 13 April, Glasgow Uni Medics (H); Sat 20 April, Lanark Clydesdale (A); Sat 27 April, Glasgow Uni Medics (A).
Kick off this Saturday is 2.45pm at Birkmyre Park.
