IN front of a large crowd who were entertained by two young dynamic teams in a hard fought match, Wanderers U16s defeated Whitecraigs 39-30 at Fort Matilda.
Scoring first, Wanderers were soon hauled back to be down three tries to one.
Tackling by both sides was of a very high standard, not allowing either to gain the upper hand.
The try count was changing from side to side with neither able to pull away for a certain victory. Wanderers held out to win this very closely contested match.
The future looks very bright for Wanderers as these boys now move up to the U18s.
Wanderers' P3s took part in a festival at Glasgow High Kelvinside, and it was a great opportunity to have a taste of competitive matches and they performed well against West, GHA and Garnock with two wins and a draw.
Wanderers U13s defeated Lenzie U13s 66-7; the Ladies defeated Oban 44-33; Wanderers 2nd XV lost 52-17.
