THE Ravenscraig Community Sports Hub are planning to hold a Family Festival of Sport this weekend as part of Inverclyde Council's Meliora Celebrations for 2024.
It will take place at Ravenscraig Stadium on Sunday June 2, for youngsters aged five-13.
Registration is open 12–12.45pm with the events starting at 1pm and finishing by 4pm.
A spokesperson for Ravenscraig Hub said that although they did not receive a grant from Inverclyde Council this year towards hosting a Meliora event, they nevertheless wished to include the festival spirit within their event.
The main activities on the day will include athletics, basketball, football, hockey and archery.
There will also be face-painting and a visit from KG Hawks with their birds of prey.
The Man On! Inverclyde charity will also represented at the event.
Everyone in attendance will be well fed by Branchton Community Centre staff and all youngsters will receive a goody bag at the end, with all welcome.
