MORE than 25 youngsters flocked to Battery Park for their first taste of rugby.
Greenock Wanderers Women and Girls section held a ‘come and try’ event on Wednesday evening.
The session saw girls from P4 to S4 try the sport out for the first time, with each receiving a free team hoodie.
A second event is due to be held at Battery Park on June 16 from 10am.
The club currently runs teams for under-10s, under-12s, under-14s and under-16s – with all in these age groups welcome to attend the session.
A spokesperson for the club's Women and Girls’ section said: “We want to create the stars of the future at GWRFC and there has never been a better time to get involved.”
