Greenock, in an intense match, made it with 102 for 9 wickets after 38 overs.
The outcome of the game hinged on the last two balls, keeping everyone on edge.
Earlier that afternoon, the visitors had opened with a promising start but quickly retreated into a defensive mode after losing a wicket early on.
After eight overs, Langside were at 14 runs.
Langside’s slow yet steady progress reached the 29-score mark by the 16th over thanks to batsman Hafeez's commendable performance that added 39 runs to Langside's score.
Greenock's goal to win seemed straightforward until the team met a series of challenges.
The team started poorly with three wickets going down, leaving them at 27 loss for 3 wickets.
Experienced opener Shailesh Prabhu worked hard to keep the innings together.
Still, Greenock was nearly 40 runs short of their target even after he contributed 27 runs.
Despite some tumultuous innings and sharp turns in momentum, Greenock managed to pull themselves together.
Greenock’s last two batsmen, Inam Khan and Mo Ahmadzai, scored the remaining 13 runs needed to clinch the victory.
It was Khan's vital run that took the team past Langside's total, pushing everyone into high alert.
In light of the victory, Greenock now ranks fifth in the league with six wins from eleven matches, sitting just 0.04% below fourth position, Irvine.
Meanwhile, Greenock's second team, Greenock 2ndXI "Glenpark", bagged a win against Clydesdale 4thXI with a margin of five wickets.
