The 2024 Greenock & District Championships will kick off on August 17, offering a full schedule across the district.

Comprising the singles, pairs, triples, fours, junior singles, and senior fours matches, the games are set to start at 11am.

All matches will be conducted at neutral venues.

The day begins on a high note with the Junior Singles Championship.

Victoria (A) battles Grosvenor at Wellington Park, while Victoria (B) faces Lady Alice at Ardgowan Club.

There will be no games in the afternoon session.

The stakes are high in the Singles Championship, as Fort Matilda duels with Ardgowan Club and Victoria squares off against Kilmacolm at Port Glasgow.

Simultaneously, Port Glasgow takes on Grosvenor, and Inverkip meets Rankin Park at Kilmacolm.

The Pairs Championship witnesses Rankin Park pitted against Port Glasgow and Ardgowan Club against Gourock BC at Wellington Park.

Concurrently, Parklea takes on Victoria, Fort Matilda plays with Wellington Park, and Inverkip contends with Lady Alice at Gourock Park.

The Triples Championship features Gourock BC versus Grosvenor, Gourock Park against Fort Matilda, and Parklea clashing with Lady Alice at Victoria.

At the same time, Ardgowan Club competes against Victoria, and Kilmacolm challenges Port Glasgow at Rankin Park.

Wellington Park battles Ardgowan Club, Kilmacolm fights Grosvenor, and Inverkip clashes with Gourock Park in the Fours Championship at Gourock BC.

Meanwhile, the Senior Fours Championship sees Port Glasgow playing against Lady Alice, Gourock Park pitted against Victoria (A) at Kilmacolm BC, Parklea against Fort Matilda, and Wellington Park (A) facing Gourock BC at Ardgowan Club.

Clubs who win their 11am games will play again at 2pm.

Host clubs have been asked to cater for players and volunteers, especially those present from morning until late afternoon.

Finally, the 2024 Greenock & District Championship semi-finals and finals are to be held at Lady Alice Bowling Club on August 24 starting at 10am, with finals slated for 2pm.
