GREENOCK Wanderers will be looking to get some points on the scoreboard against visitors Whitecraigs at Fort Matilda in the second match of their National 4 campaign on Saturday.
After last week's heavy defeat to Dunfermline in their opening match, Wanderers do not want to be detached from the rest of the opposition.
Whitecraigs had a big win last week, racking up 50 points at home to North Berwick and they will be keen to keep up their winning run.
The Wanderers pack which played last week should be much the same; it is in the backs that changes will be made. McGroarty and last year's captain McDougal, along with Tyley and Knapton, could all be available to ring the changes in the backs, which will bring a lot of experience to the team and could be enough to lead them to a much-needed victory.
The second XV have a home match against GU Hills, their opening fixture in the West Reserve League, while the third XV are away to Kilmarnock in their first match in the West Development League.
All three men's fixtures get under way at 3pm.
The club's ladies' first XV have a tricky match on Saturday away to Wigtownshire, though with three wins from three, the team are playing really well and are well worth their place at the top of the league. Kick-off in Stranraer is at 2pm.
The club's under-18s are at home to Cartha with a 2pm kick-off.
On Sunday there's micros (P1-3) training at Fort Matilda at 10.30am, while the minis (P4-7) are away to Marr at 11am.
Youth fixtures as follows: U13s v Allan Glen's (home, 2pm); U14s v West (away, 2pm), U14 girls v Stewartry (away, KO tbc); U15s v Cambuslang (away, 1pm); U16s v Bishopton (home, 2pm)
The Wanderers ladies' third XV have a home fixture in the Aspiring League on Sunday against Mid Argyll and East Kilbride, with a 2pm kick-off at Fort Matilda.
The Wanderers' club sponsor is MMSEARCH; the ladies and girls are sponsored by Straps of Gourock and Brow House Cosmetics.
