MORTON WOMEN'S manager Gary Forbes has challenged his side to create their own atmosphere as they prepare to return to more familiar surroundings against Renfrew this weekend.

The two sides head into this SWF Championship fixture level pegging, with four points after four games, but Forbes wants his players to keep their performance levels consistent as they return to Inverclyde for the first time since their rousing 6-0 victory against Hutchison Vale at Cappielow last month.

He told the Tele: "We'll need to create our own noise now that we're back at Parklea, but it's also up to us to put on a product that keeps people coming back.

"We want as many people coming down to Parklea and supporting us tomorrow. The girls had commented on the atmosphere at Cappielow, so if we can replicate a similar effect at Parklea then it'll really help us kick on to that next level.

"It's nice to have a home game. We've only had one out of our last five games at home which we managed to play at Cappielow.

"I think to be back at home is good, it's important for us because it'll be a tough game.

"Renfrew have started really well too, they're level on points with us. They got a really good result up at Inverness, which is quite a scalp so it'll be a competitive game.

"It's a game though that we're looking to be competitive and compete in. We want to be picking up three points and making the most of home advantage this season.

"That's something we've not done previously and I think that'll be really important for us if we're to go and put in a positive performance."
