GREENOCK Wanderers make the trip to Hamilton this Saturday looking to build on their fine win over Whitecraigs last weekend.

Wanderers ran in six tries in their 36-22 win at Fort Matilda, but it's some time since they last played at Hamilton, and it's not a fixture that's full of happy memories for the Greenock men.

Hamilton, however, imploded last season after several years climbing up the league ladder, and were relegated to Division 4 after losing all their league matches last season.

Little is known about them this season, with their two fixtures so far having resulted in a loss to Linlithgow and a big win over North Berwick, though they've had a struggle to raise a side so far this campaign.

Wanderers, who will travel with confidence looking for another win, are likely to have pretty much the same side as played Whitecraigs last week. Co-captain Murray is a possible inclusion if he can declare himself fit after a foot injury, he trained this week and may make the side.

The 2nd XV travel to Whitecraigs looking for another win after beating Hillhead last week, while the 3rd XV travel to East Kilbride.

Wanderers' under-16s are at home to Shetland with a 4.15pm kick-off, while the ladies are at home to Biggar at 2pm.

Sunday sees the micros and minis (P1-P7) taking part in the Cartha Queens Park festival at 11am, while in the girls' section the under-14s are away to Marr and the under-16s face Dalziel/Waysiders at home, both starting at 11am.

Also on Sunday, the U14s are at home to Ayr and the U15s host Ardrossan, both at 11am, while the U13s travel to Cambuslang with a 1pm kick-off.

Completing Sunday's fixtures, the women's 2nd XV are at home to Marr at 2pm.

Greenock's club sponsor is MMSEARCH; the ladies' sponsors are Straps of Gourock  and Brow House Cosmetics.
