MORTON playmaker Ali Crawford wants his teammates to take inspiration from their Airdrieonians performance and pick up from where they left off against Raith Rovers.

Ton have been quick out the traps in all of their home games so far this season and Crawford wants that to continue against Neill Collins' side who make the journey through from Kirkcaldy this weekend.

And he says his side need to keep on putting in a similar kind of performance to the one they had against Airdrieonians two weeks ago, which saw them despatch the Diamonds in dominant fashion.

Raith come to Cappielow full of confidence having ended Falkirk's long unbeaten run, but that isn't deterring Crawford one bit as he insists his side should head into the game looking to pick up all three points at a crucial time.

He told the Tele: "It was pleasing in the last home game to put in a performance that lasted for 90 minutes rather than in other home games where we've done it for 45 or 60 minutes.

"Against Airdrie we were right out the traps and in their faces from start to finish and we put them under pressure.

"We got the goal before half time and that was a reward for the work we put in. We made it hard for ourselves when they went down to 10-men, but we're looking for more of the same on Saturday against Raith.

"They're coming off the back of a good win against Falkirk, putting an end to their unbeaten run, so it'll be a tough game but it's one that we're we should be going into looking to win.

"Every team should enjoy playing at home and we're no different. It should be your bread and butter and you should enjoy playing in front of your home fans.

"Ours have been good this season and have backed us to the hilt and hopefully they can continue to on Saturday."
