GREENOCK Wanderers will enjoy being back on home soil as the roles reverse this weekend with Fort Matilda welcoming hardy travellers, writes John Dyer.
Wanderers play host to Moray RFC who are making the long trip down from the north of Scotland.
The visitors are newcomers to Tennent's National Division Four and have won one of their three matches in the division so far, which means that they sit three points above Wanderers in the table.
The home side though, will be looking to regroup quickly after their heavy defeat on the road at Strathmore last week.
Head coach Mitchell said that the team had not performed to the standards expected or set for themselves.
Last week's match was a very physical affair and a number of players spent time at the physio this week which makes selection very difficult to call at this stage, also the senior players are attending a wedding this weekend which will weaken the side further. It is a match that Wanderers must target as a win.
In other news, the third string welcome the newly-reformed Isle of Arran side to Fort Matilda, scheduled to kick-off at 3pm.
Earlier in the day, the club's 'Wee Wandies' (age 3-5) kick off proceedings at their 10am training session.
On Sunday, the action continues across the club sections, starting with the Mini's section training, starting at 10.30am.
That leads a series of training sessions at Fort Matilda as the Under13's-Under16's host sessions of their own starting at midday.
In the ladies section, the second string make the trip down to the borders where they face off against Dumfries, where they kick-off at 2.00pm.
The first fifteen are back in action at Fort Matilda, following on from last week's clash. They'll face off against Hillhead at Fort Matilda with a 2pm kick off.
They will be hoping to continue their good run of victories and excellent form with a win against the Glasgow side.
