MORTON have learned their SPFL Trust Trophy fate after finding out who they'll face in next month's quarter final in this afternoon's live draw at Hampden.

Ton earned their place in the hat for the last eight of the competition, for the fourth successive season, thanks to Friday night's 1-0 win over Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park.

Filip Stuparevic's 17th minute penalty was all that separated the sides on a comfortable night's work for Dougie Imrie's men against his former employers.

And they've now been rewarded with yet another away tie, this time against fellow Championship side Livingston at the Set Fare Arena on November 12/13.

As part of proceedings, Hampden bosses also conducted the semi final draw immediately after the quarter final ties were handed out.

Should Ton progress against David Martindale's side, they'll face Dunfermline Athletic or Alloa Athletic in the last four early next year.

Ton have already faced off against Livi at Almondvale earlier on this season where nothing could separate the sides in a 1-1 draw in West Lothian.

Owen Moffat got Ton off the mark in the Championship, scoring Ton's first league goal of the season, and they'll be looking to go one better in the middle of a tough run of games taking place away from home.

Should Dougie Imrie's men progress, they'll face the either the Pars or the Wasps in the final midweek of January, as Ton look to make it to the last four at the fourth attempt.

The Cappielow side have never won the competition, but have been put out by two of the last three winners of the competition at the quarter final hurdle and Dougie Imrie will be looking to break that curse in little under a month's time.
