Port Glasgow Junior Football Club has netted £3,000 to help with pitch fees.
The club received the grant from Inverclyde Council's community grants fund.
Interested groups were invited to apply for up to £10,000 across three categories: facilities/core costs; project costs and fee waivers.
The club, whose home ground is Parklea, will use the cash towards the cost of hire of pitches for training and match days.
The club was one of 100 groups to have benefited from £250,000 share of funding awarded at the September meeting - though with the total requested by groups across the area coming in at more than £850,000, virtually all the applicants had to make do with less than they'd bid for.
