CROCKED Morton defender Dylan Corr has gone under the knife for a second time this season after suffering yet another injury blow
The teenager has been recovering from a shoulder operation back in August after dislocating the joint just 60 minutes into his Ton debut against St Johnstone in July.
That injury left him facing a spell on the sidelines which was expected to last until December.
But while building up his fitness ahead of that hoped-for return, Corr has now revealed that he's been hit by a fresh blow in the form of a knee ligament injury in training that will keep him out until well into the new year.
A tear to his meniscus is likely to see him remain sidelined until at least February.
Boss Dougie Imrie admitted the latest injury was a crushing blow both for him and for Corr.
"We unfortunately don't even know what's happened," Imrie said.
"We think he's hyper-extended his knee.
"He'd been back in training for three and a half weeks with us and we were trying to build the strength in his arm back up whilst involving him in training to help him get his stamina and fitness back.
"That meant that once he got the all-clear for his shoulder, he'd be ready to go, rather than having to elongate things.
"He just hyper-extended his knee and then came in the next day, felt some pain in his knee whilst training and we pulled him out to send him for a scan.
"That showed a tear in his meniscus.
"He had the operation today. Again it's a blow for the kid and for the club. I really feel for him because it comes to the point you wonder 'how's your luck?'.
"It's a really tough situation for him and many would really struggle with that.
"It was the same last season - unfortunately it looks as if we're experiencing it again this year too."
Former Celtic and Raith kid Corr appeared in high spirits, despite going under the knife for the second time in three months.
He took to social media to update Cappielow supporters on his progress, a matter of hours after the procedure to repair the ligament in his knee.
The post on Instagram read: "Bit of a setback in the past week.
"Had to undergo knee surgery but hopefully back doing what I love most soon."
