MORTON fans are being encouraged to join a minute’s applause in memory of a late supporter at this weekend’s league opener against Ayr United.
Michael Follan passed away on July 17 after being treated for prostate cancer.
His family have issued a plea to fellow supporters to join them in paying tribute in the 54th minute at Cappielow.
In a social media post, Michael’s nephew Zak Petrie said: “My uncle was a huge Morton fan.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could share the post or inform anyone you know who will be attending the game 💙 pic.twitter.com/2V6MzCTZn5

“I have many fond memories of following the ‘Ton up and down the country with him.
“Along with my granda, my uncle is the reason I’m a Morton fan today.
“This would be greatly appreciated by myself and my family. I’m sure Michael will be cheering on the famous from above.”
